Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to Report Spam. Alan, As I stated yesterday, the Paradise Point community in Belmont (Lake Wylie) has decided to dredge their project using a suction dredge instead of their previous choice of a mechanical dredge. The dredging permit has already been issued by Duke and contains the attached 401 certification. Per your instructions we will prepare an upland disposal basin in the same location as was previously indicated for the mechanical operation. It is to be located on property owned or controlled by James Ray. Mr. Ray will be dredging around his dock and the pipeline will cross the 570 Project Limit at his property. A double chambered disposal area will be constructed to contain a minimum of 2000 cubic yards (although the dredge quantity is figured at only 1,000 yards) and will include a primary collection basin as well as a secondary polishing pond. A rock check will help disperse the effluent discharge from the secondary prior to the water returning to Lake Wylie. We will observe BMP's throughout the operation. In order to codify our discussion for Duke, please confirm by return email that we had this discussion and that the State has no objection to proceeding in this manner.
