ANNOUNCEMENT
The bipartisan Joint Women's Caucus of the North Carolina General Assembly will hold a fundraiser and food drive from
Tuesday, April 26 through Tuesday, May 3 to benefit the Food Bank of North Carolina. Barrels will be located in the 1300
Court of the Legislative Building and the 2nd floor Lobby of the Legislative Office Building. Proceeds will be used in those
counties that suffered the greatest losses in the recent string of storms that devastated North Carolina. The Food Bank
states that cleaning supplies and paper products are desperately needed as well as food and monetary donations.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
The House and Senate Committees on Redistricting will hold simultaneous Public Hearings in the following counties and
locations. (A link for directions is listed under each location.)
Registration for speaking will begin:
1) At the hearing site: 1 hour prior to the convening of the hearing, and will close prior to the beginning of the
hearing.
2) On -line: 5 days in advance of the hearing and will close 24 hours in advance of the hearing. There are limited slots
for on -line sign -up.
3) Each speaker will be limited to five minutes.
