Salisbury St. Suite ZI17A Raleigh, NC 27603-5925 tel: 919._715 -6707 fax: 919._733- 3113 Some of our most pressing issues are in the environmental and energy areas. North Carolina's policies on these matters should be based on genuine Scientific assessments. Unfortunately, in many cases this is not true. We have special interest groups and political agendas that get in the way. There will be a presentation on how Science is being subtly but successfully undermined across the board, from our education system to the media, in the Legislative Auditorium on the 6t" of February at 11 AM. The undermining of Science is detrimental to the State's economy and the freedoms of its citizens. We as Legislators have to become aware of this problem, how it is being instituted and recognize it when we see it. The lecture will be given by John Droz a noted Environmental activist and Physicist. John has focused on educating the public about energy and environmental issues over the past 30 years. He has written and had published nearly a hundred articles and reports. The presentation will be about 45 minutes with a Q &A at the end. Please attend, Rep. George G. This has profoundly adverse consequences to the state's economy, as well as on the freedoms of its citizens. The free 45 minute slideshow will be followed by a Q &A. NC's policies on all of these technical matters should be based on genuine scientific assessments. However, that is ordinarily not the case, as real Science has been under siege by lobbyists with self - serving economic or political agendas. John Droz.Jr. Untitled attachment 00005 DENR.
