Comment Re; ID#: 20210224 Version #: 1 Name Of Project: Westpoint Dear N.C. Department of Environmental Quality; I am writing (without much hope) to urge you in the strongest possible terms to protect the Black Meadow Ridge parcels. I am strongly opposed to the Westpoint development. Current assessments in no way reflect the proposed development's impacts and the impacts from the 401 Individual Clean Water Act Permit disturbances. It's obvious the project is not is in the Public Interest of Durham residents or the environment. A Public Hearing is essential. This project has a significant public Impact and needs oversight through a different and higher level of review. The correct usage is for the city of Durham to purchase the 55 acre site to protect the Eno River Watershed and West Point on the Eno park, a vital resource for the entire city. We at a minimum need a comprehensive development plan review process, including hearings with public input, and formal votes from the Planning Commission and City Council. This is absolutely a horrible place to develop, it will have a huge adverse impact on the river and the watershed. Please don't let developer greed overcome common sense, there are many are other less sensitive places to develop. Sincerely, H. Robb Levinsky 3805 W. Cornwallis Rd.
