Because of the proximity and potential damage to the Eno River State Park, and because the Eno River provides
drinking water to Falls Lake, this development should be evaluated for water quality impacts. The Federal Corp
of Engineers should also be invited to participate, as they oversee the water quality for Falls Lake.
The analysis should include assessment of the impact of impervious surfaces, traffic, and removal of trees for
developments already approved, including the new Northern High School just across 15-501.
The analysis should include the Federal Environmental Impact Statement already in the public record for this
property, produced for Eno Drive.
The analysis should include threats to water quality due to pollution, impervious surfaces runoff, introduction of
invasive plants, and sediment due to tree removal and construction activities, all of which can destroy the rare
and sensitive native flora and fauna of the Eno River State Park, cause flooding, and affect the drinking water for
Falls Lake.
