On March 4, 2013, Anthony Scarbraugh with the Division of Water Resources (DWR) conducted an inspection of
the subject property located on the northern intersection of Ore Drive and Iron Mine Way in Washington, Beaufort
County. Please note, the inspection was in response to a Nationwide Permit #18 issued by the US Army Corps of
Engineers on June 28, 2011 that written approval from DWR was required but not received. On March 14, 2013,
the DWR issued a Notice of Deficiency (NOD) for failure to secure a 401 Water Quality Certification.
On September 17, 2013, DWQ received a Pre - Construction Notification application for unauthorized impacts to
wetlands from the construction of residential dwellings on the subject properties. On September 20, 2013, DWQ
issued an after - the -fact 401 - Certification authorizing impacts of 0.07 acres of wetland impacts for the existing
single family residential dwellings. The requested corrective action to abate the violation has been completed and
the site is currently in compliance therefore this office considers the violation closed.
