State rules apply specifically to the Jordan Lake TMDL. The Jordan Lake Nutrient Strategy, often referred to as the Jordan Lake
Rules, has seen extensive legislation that creates some regulatory oversight and yet limits regulatory oversight that can be
completed through other programs (MS4). The Town maintains a Stage 1 Existing Development Program and a Riparian Buffer
Protection Program as required by state law. These programs are summarized within the Town’s annual report.
