Dear Ms. Locklear
Dee Freeman
Secretary
The Fayetteville Regional Office (FRO) of the Division of Water Quality received your letter on July 9, 2009 detailing
plans for a pilot study to determine the most efficient method of adding alkalinity to the WWTP's influent. The PRO
supports this study and encourages the facility staff to take detailed notes on how these chemicals affect the plant and
have them available upon request. By taking this action the facility will have a defense for any non-compliance events
that may occur. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mark Brantley, Environmental Chemist, at 910-433-
3327.
Sincerely
