There are currently two level spreaders provided. Both seem odd. The engineer notes a 55-foot buffer for zone 1 and 20 feet for zone 2 with thick ground cover for both. Seems to me that Zone 1 will be transitioning to forested and that the engineer should do weighted average. Additionally there is insufficient detail within the construction notes for the sequencing and construction of the level spreaders. 1. Please provide an overall drainage map depicting all pipes along with topography. 2. The Neuse buffer appears to be drawn from the centerline of the stream rather than top of bank. 3. Please explain why you have thick ground cover listed for a 55-foot zone 1 vegetation. This will mature to forested over the long term. Thus a weighted average of Zone 1 and Zone 2 vegetation types should be used. 4. Please include construction sequencing and installation instructions for the level spreader in your plans. 1 of 1 7/12/2007 9:27 AM
