THERE ARE NO EXISTING STATE WATERS ON OR WITHIN 200' OF THE SITE. CRITICAL AREAS NO CRITICAL AREAS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ENCOUNTERED ON THE SITE. STANDARD EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES SHOULD PREVENT ANY EROSION OR SEDIMENT FROM LEAVING THE SITE. STORMWATER MANAGEMENT THE EXISTING SITE DRAINS PREDOMINANTLY TO THE WEST. THE PROPOSED GRADING IS DESIGNED TO MATCH THE EXISTING DRAINAGE PATTERNS FOR ANY DRAINAGE BASIN (SEE HYDROLOGY REPORT) DESIGN OF EROSION CONTROL MEASURES MEET 10 YEAR 24 HOUR STORM USE REQUIREMENTS. INSTALLATION NOTE INSTALLATION OF EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AND PRACTICES SHALL OCCUR PRIOR TO, OR CONCURRENT WITH, LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES. EROS!ON & SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES Unless otherwise indicated, all vegetative and structural erosion and sediment control practices shall be constructed and maintained according to at least the minimum standards and specifications of the North Carolina Erosion and Sediment Control Planning & Design Manual dated December 1, 1993. The mirimum standards of the handbook shall be adhered to unless otherwise waived or approved by a variance. PLANNED EROSION & SEDIMENTATION CONTROL PRACTICES 1. Inlet Protection - Practice 6.51 Fabric inlet protection is to be placed around the inlet to be located in the right-of-way. 2. Si't Fence Barrier - Practice 6.62 Silt fence sediment barriers will be installed down slope of areas with minimal grades and around top soil stockpiles to filter sediment -laden runoff from sheet flow 3 Ternp rory Ccnst-uc5on Entrance - Practice 6.06 A temporary construction entrance shall be installed as located on the drawings. During muddy conditions, drivers of construction vehiCies wiN be required to clean off their wheels before entering the Mghway Runoff created during this procedure sholl pass tfrough on approved sediment removing process. 4. Tem orory Sediment TraD - Practice 6.60 Temporary sediment traps ore to be constructed as shown on the grading pion for this protect They are to be constructed such that oil Site distured runoff shall concentrate in the sediment trap before leaving the site. 5. All erosion and sediment control practices will be checked for stability and operation following every run-off producing rainfall but in no case less than once every week. Any needed repairs will be made immediately to maintain all practices as designed. 2- Sediment will be removed from the block inlet protection device when storage capacity has been approx. 50% filled. 3. Sediment will be removed from behind the sediment fence when it becomes about 5.0 ft. deep at the fence. The sediment fence will be repaired as necessary to maintain a barrier. 4. All seeded areas will be fertilized, reseeded as necessary, and mulched according to specifications in the landscape plan to maintain a vigorous, dense vegetative cover. CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE 1. Obtain plan approval & other applicable permits. 2. Flog limits of work. 3 Hold preconstruction confrence. 4. Install all required erosion control measures prior to beginning cny grading activity. 5. Sediment troping measures will be installed as a first step in grading and will be seeded and mulched immediately following installation. Installation shall be complete prior to the commence- ment of any land disturbing activity. 6. Install storm drainage including inlet protection. 7. Rough grade site and stockpile topsoil. Topsoil will be stripped from areas to be graded and stockpiled for later use and will be stabilized by silt fencing. 8. Finish the slopes around building as soon as rough grading is oornplete. Leave the surface slightly roughened and vegetate and mulch immediately. 9. Complete final grading for roads and parking and stabilize with gravel. 10. Complete final grading for building. 11. Complete final grading of grounds, topsoil critical areas, and permonently vegetate, landscape, and mulch. 12. Ai erosion and sediment control practices will be inspected vekly and after rainfall events. Needed repairs will be mode Immediately. The job superintendent shot! be responsible for the installation and maintenance of all erosion and sediment control p-actices. 13. Ater achieving adequate stabilization to the satisfoction of the C. t;: E&SC Administrator, the temporary E&S controls will be e'eaned up and removed. 14.
