ON THE MATERIAL TO BE USED AS BACKFILL.
7, ALL FILL MATERIAL SHALL BE PLACED IN LIFTS NOT TO EXCEED 12".
8 FIELD COMPACTION TESTS SHALL BE TAKEN BY THE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING FIRM FROM EACH FILL VOLUME
MEASURING 2000ft2 MAXIMUM x 12" DEEP.
9. ALL FILL AREAS SHALL BE COMPACTED TO AT LEAST 95% OF THE STANDARD PROCTOR MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY.
10. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO VERIFY LOCATION OF UNDERGROUND FACILITIES PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.

INSPECT BAFFLES AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK AND AFTER EACH RAINFALL. MAKE ANY REPAIRS IMMEDIATELY. BE SURE TO MAINTAIN
ACCESS TO THE BAFFLES. SHOULD THE FABRIC OF THE BAFFLES COLLAPSE, TEAR, DECOMPOSE, OR BECOME INEFFECTIVE, REPLACE
IT PROMPTLY. REMOVE SEDIMENT DEPOSITS WHEN IT REACHES HALF FULL TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE STORAGE VOLUME FOR THE NEXT
RAIN AND TO REDUCE PRESSURE ON THE BAFFLES. TAKE CARE TO AVOID DAMAGING THE BAFFLES DURING CLEANOUT. SEDIMENT
DEPTH SHOULD NEVER EXCEED HALF THE DESIGNED STORAGE DEPTH. AFTER THE CONTRIBUTING DRAINAGE HAS BEEN PROPERLY
STABILIZED, REMOVE ALL BAFFLE MATERIALS AND UNSTABLE SEDIMENT DEPOSITS, BRING THE AREA TO GRADE AND STABILIZE IT.

DURING THE ESTABLISHMENT PERIOD, CHECK GRASS -LINED CHANNELS AFTER EVERY RAINFALL. AFTER
GRASS IS ESTABLISHED, PERIODICALLY CHECK THE CHANNEL; CHECK IT AFTER EVERY HEAVY RAINFALL
EVENT. IMMEDIATELY MAKE REPAIRS. IT IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT TO CHECK THE CHANNEL OUTLET
AND ALL ROAD CROSSINGS FOR BANK STABILITY AND EVIDENCE OF PIPING OR SCOUR HOLES. REMOVE
ALL SIGNIFICANT SEDIMENT ACCUMULATIONS TO MAINTAIN THE DESIGNED CARRYING CAPACITY. KEEP
THE GRASS IN A HEALTHY VIGOROUS CONDITION AT ALL TIMES, SINCE IT IS THE PRIMARY EROSION
PROTECTION FOR THE CHANNEL.
