WET POND SPECIFIC MINIMUM DESIGN CRITERIA 2: MAIN POOL DEPTH The average depth of the main pool shall be three to eight feet below the permanent pool elevation. The applicant shall have the option of excluding the submerged portion of the vegetated shelf from the calculation of average depth. The supplement Form indicates only 2.98 (insufficient) WET POND SPECIFIC MINIMUM DESIGN CRITERIA 7: DRAWDOWN TIME The design volume shall draw down to the permanent pool level between two and five days. Discharge Rate = CdA [2 g Ho] A 0.5 For a 2.0 inch diameter orifice with where the Temporary Pool Elevation is 723.80 and the Permanent Pool Elevation is 722.50 and a water quality volume of 45,957 ft3 Radius = 2.0 inches/12 inches/ft = 0.0833 ft A = 3.14 r 2 = 3.14 (0.0833) Z = 0.022 sf Cd = 0.6 g = 32.2 Ho = (Temporary Pool Elevation -Permanent Pool Elevation) / 3 = (723.8-722.50)/3 = 0.433 Discharge Rate = 0.6 (0.022) [(64.4) (0.433)] A 0.5 = 0.07 cfs Days to discharge = Water Quality Treatment Volume Provided 45,957 ft3 / the discharge rate 0.07 ft3/sec) / seconds /day 86,400 = 7.6 days It's possible that I'm mistaken. Please check your calculations for the main pool depth and drawdown time, and respond to the request for additional information within 30 days. Attached is my checklist.
