On September 4, 2013, the Division of Water Resources (Division) received your application dated August 28,
2013, requesting a Buffer Authorization from the Division for• your project. The Division has determined that
your application is incomplete and cannot be processed. The application is on -hold until the following
information is received:
Please provide a site plan showing streams and' protected riparian'buffers as overlays on the ,site
plan. Show the two zones of the riparian buffer on the plan as measured from the,top of the
streambank. Zone 1 is measured, 30 feet from the top of the streambank, and Zone 2 is measured
from 30 feet to-50 feet. These riparian buffers parallel the stream pattern
2. The site plan must also depict the footprint,of the proposed permanent impacts.
3. The application, states that there will be 20,000 square .feet of,permanent impact as a result,of, this
clearing (8,000 square feet in Zone 1 and 12,000 square feet in Zone 2). Please note that, for this
type of project, when the permanent impact is greater than one -third of'an acre of riparian buffer,
.mitigation for the impact is required. .
Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H,.0502(c) and Title 15A NCAC 021B.0233 (8), the applicant, shall furnish all of the
