Dear Mr. Austin:
On November 6, 2006, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated
November 6, 2006, to impact 0.209 acres of 404/wetland, 1561inear feet of perennial stream
(1301inear feet permanent impact, 26 linear feet temporary impact), and 21,173 square feet of
Zone 1 Neuse River basin protected riparian buffers and 7,246 square feet of Zone 2 Neuse River
basin protected riparian buffers to construct the proposed residential subdivision. On June 19,
2007, the DWQ received additional information from you, however, the DWQ has determined
that your application remains incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed
below.
1. Your proposed stream crossing appears to be aligned at approximately 60°. Please re-
configure your proposed stream crossing to show it aligned between 75° and 105°.
2. Please show all wetland impacts including fill slopes on the site plan.
3. Please indicate all buffer impacts on the site plan.
4. Your Zone 1 buffer impacts for the one road crossing are listed as 21,173 square feet.
Please submit your proposed buffer mitigation plan.
5. Please locate any planned sewer lines on the site plan.
For these reasons your permit application is hereby considered returned. Once you have
redesigned your project to address the problems and inadequacies with your application as it was
