Site inspection was conducted on October 5, 2021 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. I spoke with
Patrick Breedlove after the inspection. The following are items that need attention:
- A small amount of hydraulic fluid was observed near the Compaction Roller parked adjacent to the UT to Whiteoak.
Mechanized equipment operated near surface waters needs to be inspected and maintained regularly to prevent
contamination of surface waters.
- Groundcover is required on any areas that remain idle for 7-14 days per NPDES groundcover stabilization
requirements.
- I was unable to locate the NPDES records, but I may have overlooked them. Please keep records on site and up to
date.
