Dear Ms. Woodard,
The Division of Water Resources (Division) is in receipt of a "No Department of the Army
Authorization Required" notification issued by Andrew Williams on August 28, 2013 regarding
this property. This notification indicates that a temporary road previously authorized by the
401 Water Quality Certification approval DWQ# 2011 -0125 has been determined to be exempt
from the 404 regulations. Therefore, the requirements of the Division's approval are no longer
necessary.
Per a Letter from ECS Carolinas, LLP on your behalf and dated June 26, 2013, the road as
constructed meets the Jordan Lake Riparian Buffer Protection Rules 15A NCAC 02B .0267 Table
of Uses as an exempt category.

Please note that stormwater from this road must be directed to the riparian buffers as diffuse
flow in Order to remain in compliance with the Jordan Lake Rules.
