Entrance to the mining area is by an existing soil road off of SR 1723 (Whitehall Road). This entrance will be improved to allow dump trucks to enter and exit easier and more safely. A permit has been obtained by NCDOT. A temporary Construction Entrance/Exit will be provided and maintained at this entrance for the life of the mine. A dewatering basin will be constructed when needed. Water from the mine will be pumped to the dewatering basin and released at non -erosive rates across the existing land into an existing ditch at the property line. A mining permit application was sent to the state for approval on September 23, 2021. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
