approximately 111.5 acres and is located approximately 700 feet southeast of the Gibsonville -
Ossipee Road, Howerton Road intersection north of Gibsonville, in Alamance County, North
Carolina.
Description of Activity: The activity is a single permanent road crossing impacting 106 linear feet of a
jurisdictional channel. This crossing includes a sigle 36" cmp, and a 6 linear foot rip rap apron. This
impact is for a farm road. This crossing was initially installed as a temporary crossing for a project
identified as the Howerton Road Borrow Pit and was necessary to complete North Carolina Department of
Transportation Project U- 311OB.
Your work as proposed does not require Department of the Army authorization for the following reason(s):
F_ There are no jurisdictional waters or wetlands within the boundaries of the property.

The proposed project is exempt from Department of the Army regulation.
