Lumberton Cellulose LLC Mill
Notification of SIC Code Change
Dear Mr. Strickland:
This letter is a follow-up to a conversation held earlier this year on June 5, 2019,
between our Mill Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, Grant
Oxendine and Mr. Michael Lawyer, with the NCDEQ Fayetteville Regional Office,
regarding our current Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code designation.
After a recent internal review of our Environmental records, we have concluded
that our current SIC code designation of 2611, is no longer the best description of
our current manufacturing process and should be changed to the appropriate
designation. Please note that this change is mainly due to fact that significant
port;ons of (he previousiy existing process at our Mill are no longer operational
and there are no plans to restore these operations. Therefore, we are requesting
that you update your records, if need be, from the existing Pulp Mill SIC code
designation of 2611 to a new SIC code designation of 3999, which represents
"Manufacturing Industries, Not Elsewhere Classified".
Again, our current manufacturing operations at our Lumberton Cellulose Mill
includes the processing of cotton and various other naturally occurring fibers into
purified fiber products that are eventually converted into marketed products by
our customers at other locations. As such, we no longer utilize pulping operations
at our Lumberton Mill to supply our existing customers.
