This meeting commenced at approximately 8:30 a.m., with a brief overview of the project. Randy Henegar
proceeded to review each plan sheet. Comments were as follows:
R-4071
Stream determination and location: Mrs. Barnes, Mr. Alsmeyer, Mr. Militscher, and Mr. Wilson asked were
the stream went on this project. Mr. Henegar stated that the stream was not a blue line stream on the quad
map but was a stream on the soil map. Mr. Henegar explained that the stream shows up as an open ditch
section on sheet 7 and continues north towards Highway 301 where in turns into a drainage collection system.
This system continues east all the way to sheet 4. Mrs. Barnes and Mr. Alsmeyer stated that someone from
their offices would need to investigate the stream and let us know if we needed permit drawings. Mr. Shern
stated that he would take them to the site.
2. Pond Desi~ Mr. Militscher inquired to Mr. Henegar as to if the pond bottom was clay and the type of
planting in the pond. Mr. Henegar replied that the design of the pond had not gotten to that point as of yet but
we were going to take borings to determine the bottom soil and the natural groundwater elevation. Also, Mr.
Henegar stated that we would make sure the pond bottom was made of the most impervious material
available.
3. Project approval: Mr. Wilson stated that he did not have any problems with this project but that Mrs. Barnes
(NCDQW) and Mr. Alsmeyer (USACE) would need to investigate the site and determine if permit drawing
are required. Mr. Militscher also concurred with Mr. Wilson and gave his approval. Mrs. Barnes and Mr.
Alsmeyer stated that they would get up with Mr. Shern and look at the site to see if permit drawings are
required.
No further comments were recorded, and the meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
