When you look at an aerial the numbers are painted on at the end of the runway. They are compass headings for the direction you would be landing. I.e., runway 01/19 if you are landing into a northerly wind you would approach on a 10 degree heading and if a southerly wind on a 190 degree heading. The end where our work is going on is at the southwest end, near the start of runway 05, or a heading of 50 degrees. If you check the Wilmington airport you will see a similar naming of runways. Hope that helps. In the alternatives analysis there is reference to runways 01/19 and runway 05/23 but don't see a map showing their locations. Is there something you can point me to that would geographically locate these two runways so I can complete the picture being portrayed by the analysis? I have copied everyone just in case others may answer. Our letter of availability expired on 31 July so we may get a call from Brad about that. In addition, on 1 July the NC EEP program, which has an in -lieu fee program for mitigation, raised their prices. Those prices are what the private sector banks use as a guide post for pricing. Weyerhaeuser owns the bank we are buying from and has increased the cost for all purchasers in a similar situation. So, we can expect an increase on the total mitigation cost of about $7,000. Unfortunately, there is not much Needham Environmental or Cape Fear Engineering can do about this price change by an independent supplier. We will keep up with agency comments to Brads notice and be ready for responses, if necessary. Should we go ahead and request an extension of the mitigation request letter, so we will have it in hand if Brad asks for a new letter? This might save a few days in the process.
