NOTICE OF A PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
FOR PROPOSED SAFETY AND TRAFFIC OPERATIONS IMPROVEMENTS
ON CHICKEN FOOT ROAD (STATE ROAD 2252) FROM SAND HILL ROAD
(S.R. 2238) TO BRAXTON ROAD (S.R. 2242)

Cumberland County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation ( NCDOT) proposes to
realign Sand Hill Road and Braxton Road to create one intersection at Chicken
Foot Road. A traffic signal will be installed at the new intersection.
The purpose of the project is to improve safety and operations at these
two intersections.
NCDOT will hold a Public Informational Meeting on Tuesday, July 30,
2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gray's Creek High School, located at 5301
Celebration Drive in Hope Mills.
Interested individuals may attend this informal meeting any time during the
above hours. NCDOT representatives will display maps and be available to
answer questions and receive comments, which will be taken into consideration
as work on the project develops. There will not be a formal presentation.
