In June of 2013 a Stormwater Management Plan was prepared by Soil & Environmental
Consultants, PA (S&EC). This plan was reviewed by your office and subsequently approved
by the North Carolina Environmental Management Commission (EMC) as part of a Major
Variance Approval in July 2013. The approved Stormwater Management Plan (SMP)
consisted of the following components:
1. The construction of a small retrofit R n area to provide stormwater
treatment for a portion of the ;Impervious area near the front- of the prol)ertv.
2. The rerouting of roof gutters and associated downspouts (with splash-pads)
discharge the majority of the rooftop runoff outside of the buffer. i
3. The planting of select portions of the Zone I and Zone 2 of the riparian buffer
site with native shrub species. I

Addition conditions of the Major Variance include mitigation in the form of the following:

Based on our site observations it is our opinion that the construction and planting activities
performed on the project site and as described above is in keeping with our design intent.
It is also our opinion that this work was performed in general accordance with the
activities described in the Major Variance approved by the EMC.
