Dear Ms. Radford:
On September 24, 2021, DWR staff Garcy Ward conducted an on-site review of the feature located on
the subject property at your request to determine the applicability of the above-noted state regulations.
The enclosed map(s) also depict the feature(s) evaluated for subjectivity to the Tar-Pamlico Buffer Rules.
This information is summarized in the table below. Streams that are considered "Subject" have been
located on the most recently published NRCS Soil Survey of Pitt County and/or the most recent copy of
the USGS Topographic (at 1:24,000 scale) map(s), have been located on the ground at the site, and
possess characteristics that qualify them to be at least intermittent streams. Features that are
considered "Not Subject" have been determined to not be at least intermittent or not present on the
property or not depicted on the required maps.
The following table addresses the feature assessed during the DWR site visit:

This on-site determination shall expire five(5)years from the date of this letter. The owner(or future
owners) should notify the Division (and other relevant agencies) of this decision in any future
correspondences concerning this property. Landowners or affected parties that dispute this
determination made by the Division may request a determination by the Director of Water Resources.
This determination is final and binding, unless an appeal request is made within sixty (60)calendar
days of the date of this letter to the Director in writing.
