An estimated 4,725 gallons of raw wastewater was discharged from the EQ basin, due to a clogged
suction line from the EQ Basin to the Screen Sump Tank Transfer Pumps

Corrective action was taken by unclogging the suction line and re -priming the screen transfer pumps

No site spill or site remediation was required.
Action Taken or Proposed to be Taken to Prevent Occurrences:
We will continue to clean the screen sump tank on a regular basis and repair a broken pressure gauge we
found on the screen sump pumps to help identify pump volume issues.
Additional Comments About the Event:
Water hit the ground and entered a nearby storm drain that runs to a catch basin and enters the
Laurel Fork Creek tributary to the Watuga River.
There is no evidence that water hit the creek.
