Project Description: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received a request to modify the RES Cape Fear
02 Umbrella Mitigation Banking Instrument (SAW-2016-01258), for the addition of the Tobacco Road Mitigation Project.
The Bank Sponsor, Environmental Banc & Exchange, LLC, would restore, enhance, and preserve approximately 12,291
linear feet of stream channel and 0.58 acre of wetland that would be used to offset impacts authorized as part of future
Federal and State permits. The project area is located near the intersection of Thom Road and NC Highway 54, in
Mebane, Alamance County, North Carolina.
