Expedited permits are generally simple 100% domestics (e.g., schools, mobile home parks, etc) that can be administratively renewed with minor changes, but can include facilities with more complex issues (Special Conditions, 303(d) listed water, toxicity testing, instream monitoring, compliance concerns). Changes from previous permit to draft: • Updated eDMR footnote in A(1) and language in A(2) • Updated outfall map • Added facility grade in A(1) • Updated language and added receiving stream characteristics on the Supplement to Permit Cover Sheet Section 6. Changes from draft to final: • Map Correction — the map included with the draft permit was inaccurate and did not show the location of the facility or outfall. The map in the final permit has been corrected. • Stream Classification and Segment — The receiving stream segment and classification have been corrected in the final issued permit. Previous permits had indicated a stream segment of 6-67-(1) which is Bent Creek from its source to Powhatan Lake dam and is a class B;Trout waterbody. However, the outfall location for the discharge is actually located below Powhatan Lake in segment 6- 67-(7) which is still Bent Creek, but is class B and does not carry the Trout water designation. The permit has finished it's notice period and we are getting things ready for final issuance. I have taken over finalization of the permit as the previous permit writer (Brianna Young) has taken a new job within our Department. You may have had communications with Brianna previously about electronic transmittal of documents. If so, I apologize for the duplication of the information below. In order to provide more convenience, control, and security to our permittees and assist them in processing their transactions, The Division of Water Resources is currently transitioning towards electronic correspondence. This will hopefully provide more efficient service to our permittees and other partners and will allow us to more effectively process and track documents. We are writing to ask you for your approval of the transmittal of documents related to your permitting and related activities with the Division in an electronic format. Documents will be emailed to the appropriate contact person(s) in your organization in a PDF format. Please respond to me through email with verification that transmittal of your documents in an electronic manner is acceptable to you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/AAMkADglYjdhZmlxLTMzMGYtNGU3Nil hNGU4LTY3M2El ODhmOGQxYgBGAAAAAACylgPJgHeWQptjf... 3/4 9/9/21, 11:54 AM Thanks Mail - Bennett, Bradley - Outlook Bradley Bennett Compliance and Expedited Permitting NC Division of Water Resources 1617 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC 27699-1617 Phone: (919) 707-3629 Email: brad ley.bennett@ncdenr.gov Email correspondence to and from this address may be subject to public records laws This electronic message contains information generated by the USDA solely for the intended recipients.
