Yup, just wanted to confirm. Here are coordinates: 36.032598, -78.796886.
There is plenty of parking in the pine trees at the end of this dirt road. Please forward to any other IRT
members that need the meeting spot.
Sorry I wont be able to attend tomorrow, but Ryan and Jamey will meet you on -site. Thanks!

Notes, Sketch, Action Items, etc.:
FIELD REVIEW:
AB Review for Section A
Background: Purchased in 2015-16. Landowner initially planned for a development but has fallen through due to zoning issues.
External crossings were to accommodate the development- not currently in use and are still forested. Would need a permit later
for pipes/utility in crossings. Phase II would be added on later approx 5 acres (72 SMU)-currently owned by a church. Located in
the Triassic basin.
Pond area was the last to be constructed; still need to put up easement signs. AB for this area will be submitted in March. All
monitoring for Phase I and II will be conducted at the same time. 2022 will be MY1 for both.
Only major change to the design was an El credit area on CH6 that was not graded because it was stable and had a mature
canopy. The reach is approx. 500 LF and the credit ratio will be adjusted to match the preservation area above (CH3) at 10:1 ratio.
RES will submit updated ledger.
Reaches in the pond bottom area were very dry and had no flow- ponding in pools. RES did not add any sediment source to the
pond bed. Sediment from the dam removal was spread along the hillside. There is some concern of rotting wood structures in the
channel because of how dry the channel was. Drainage area approx 120 acres at the bottom. Restoration credit given on the
lower portion of BU6 for hydrologic restoration- breaching the dam and reconnecting the floodplains and wetland areas. Noted a
lot of sediment moving through the entire system.
Did not see any invasive spp. however RES will manage as necessary.
BU09 had a lot of pine and will manage for recruitment/seed source.
BU10 El credit area had some minor bank work, 2 sediment packs, and one or two structures. Not sure why there is El credit- had
to justify any functional uplift with the minimal work that was done. The last 50-60 LF had no work done whatsoever. Wood
structures on this are also questionable due to lack of flow. The road that runs along this reach is outside the easement and will
remain.
MB01 had a structure that needed to be plugged and live staked. RES will add the work completed to the future reports. This area
also had downcutting above the confluence with CH8 that will need to be watched.
CH8 was originally incised- it was lifted and there was some floodplain grading. The channel seemed fairly deep but RES has no
concern with floodplain access. Some short riffle sections were noted in this section.
Overall, areas of scour will be important to watch. Not much for invasives but will manage as needed. Signs around pond will be
installed. New ledger for CH6 section that is changing to 10:1 *will update cover letter also. Year 1 will be next year 2022. Doing
section A credit release now. Section B next year- will post schedule in new cover letter. When supplemental planting occurs IRT
encourages no willow oak and adding some other spp for diversity. Also recommend adding a planting map and including all
planting changes in the next report. IRT also encourages putting more large woody debris in the floodplain from the woodpiles on
site (some already embedded).
