Salisbury Street, 9th Floor Raleigh, NC 27604 RE: Wake Technical Community College North Campus Pedestrian Bridge Raleigh, North Carolina To whom it may concern: Enclosed is the submittal package and Pre - construction Notification form for the above - referenced project. Due to the nature of the project, only Buffer Rule approval is sought. The proposed project is located on Wake Tech's north campus and will connect the new parking decks under construction on the southern portion of the campus to Buildings E and F to the north. The project consists of constructing a concrete deck pedestrian bridge that will span both jurisdictional streams located between the parking decks and classroom buildings. The bridge will be supported by concrete footing that are located entirely outside of the streams and associated stream buffers. Permanent impacts to stream buffers have been minimized by spanning the buffers and crossing as perpendicular to the streams as possible. No impacts are proposed to the actual stream channel. The enclosed drawings (SF003 - SF006) show the temporary and permanent impacts associated with the project. No mitigation is proposed for the permanent impacts. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need any additional information.
