SUBJECT: Wastewater Laboratory Certification Exemption
Dear Mr. Oxendine:
Please refer to your letter dated November 6, 1998, requesting exemption from
certification to perform pH and Residual Chlorine analyses onsite at the Laurinburg-
Maxton Airport (NC0044725). It is our understanding that all other NPDES Permit
monitoring analyses are performed by a certified laboratory.
Based on the information supplied, we are granting the requested exemption to
perform pH and Residual Chlorine analyses. This exemption may be withdrawn at
any time there is an applicable Rule or policy change. You are reminded that your
facility is required to use EPA approved methodology for each of these analytical
procedures. If the list of parameters performed onsite at the facility changes to include
any parameters listed under 15A NCAC 2H Section .0804 other than those exempted
above, our office must be notified and certification may be required.
