Source of the Upset/Spill/Bypass (Location or Treatment Unit):
Crooked Creek had a surge of flow from a passing heavy thunderstorm. At the time the tertiary sand filters
were backwashing continuously and would not keep up. The tertiary filters were put into bypass until flows
could return to a point that the filters could be placed back into service.
Cause or Reason for the Upset/Spill/Bypass:
2.3 inches of rain in a short amount of time causing elevated flow to the plant.
Describe the Repairs Made or Actions Taken:
Filters in bypass until the flows reduced.

There is ongoing inspections and repair of the collections system. This action has helped with maintaining the
fight against I&I.

Contacted Roberto Scheller at 0837 on 9/2/21, spoke to him again at 1115 to make sure I completed form
right. Alex Laytham is no longer ORC, the ORC is now Wyatt Howell.
