(Shield) successfully collected the 3r1 Quarter 2021 stormwater samples for Stormwater Discharge Outfall (SDO) #001 at the Daimler Trucks Gastonia facility during the month of July 2021. During the July 81 sampling event, Shield's measurement for pH was 8.00 at SDO #001. Some foam was observed in the stormwater discharge at SDO #001 on July 8'. The Qualitative Monitoring Report and a partially completed Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) form are attached to this cover letter. In addition, the analytical results for the stormwater samples collected during the qualifying storm events are attached to this cover letter. Results from the July 8' sampling event show an exceedance of Copper at SDO 4001. The rain event on July 81 did not produce enough rain in order to collect the stormwater samples for Stormwater Discharge Outfalls (SDO) #002 & #003. Shield will continue to monitor daily weather conditions and continue coordination of appropriate staff and resources to collect stormwater samples at these outfalls, for the 311 quarter 2021 (July — September 2021). Shield greatly appreciates the opportunity to provide environmental services to Daimler Trucks of North America. if you have any questions in reference to this document or require further information, please feel free to contact either of the undersigned at (704) 394-6913.
