Authorization to Construct
City of Monroe Wastewater Treatment Plant
Sludge Dewatering Additional Facilities
Union County
The final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construction
of an additional 10,000 GPD sludge dewatering facility consisting of dual sludge
vacuum filter beds of 800 square feet each, in -line chemical conditioning by polymer
addition with associated storage tank, metering pumps, and appurtenances, dual vacuum
blowers with standby blower unit, dual interconnected filtrate return sumps with 75
GPM pumps and approximately 350 lineal feet of 4-inch force main to serve the City
of Monroe's Wastewater Treatment Plant.
This is a Class IV Wastewater Treatment Facility and the person in responsible
charge must hold a valid Grade IV Certificate.
This Authorization to Construct is issued in accordance with Part III paragraph
C of NPDES Permit No. NC0024333 issued November 29, 1977, and shall be subject to
revocation unless the wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accordance
with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0024333.
