Annette,
Hope you're having a nice vacation!
Attached are the completed drawings by our surveyor. I think the last thing we need is the plant species we're
planning to install. Let me know if there's anything else needed to approve us.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
John and Lindsay Bayer

You are welcome to submit the drawing next week. I will review it when I get back and let you know if I have any
questions. It will not be passed to a different reviewer at this point.
Thanks,
Annette

Annette,
Our surveyor should have the drawing finished today. I'll forward to you as soon as I get it. Since you're taking
off next week, is there anyone at your office we can talk with next week or should we wait to here from you
when you get back?
Thanks,
John

Annette,
See attached drawings and answers to questions below. I wasn's sure of my plant and tree
options. I'll call you tomorrow to discuss.
Thank you,

Dear John and Lindsay:
I have reviewed the bioretention cell design that you provided on Friday. There is still some
information that is needed before I can review the stormwater management plan as described
below.
1. Please show the following information on the lot layout sheet:
a. The proposed boundaries of the drainage easement. A minimum distance of 10 feet on all
sides of the bioretention cell is required. Please note that entire drainage easement is typically
on the lot which it serves — this makes it difficult for the bioretention cell to be built directly on
the lot boundary. See attached drawing
b. The area of the roof that will drain to the bioretention cell. See attached drawing
c. One -foot contour lines showing the grading for the lot and bioretention cell. These contour
lines should show the weir that will be used to bypass storms greater than one inch. See
Please provide a specification for the bioretention cell media and the mulch that will be used.
For this item and item (3) below, you will find guidance in the BMP manual at the following
link: http: / /Portal.ncdenr.org /web /wq /ws /su /bmp- ch12 /. 88% Sand, 10% clay and 2% peat
moss.
3. Please provide a planting plan for the tree and herbaceous plants that will be planted in the
bioretention cell. The planting plan should include the species, the size and the locations of the
plants. See attached drawing. Species and size to follow.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions. I will be in most mornings this week. I will be out
on vacation next week.
Thanks,
Annette
