The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Dunescape Villas WWTF
on 8/18/2021. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with
the conditions and limitations specified in Non -discharge Permit No. WQ0003044. The findings and
comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled
"Compliance Inspection Report". There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and
therefore, a response to this inspection report is not required.

Inspection Summary:
A routine compliance inspection of Dunescape Villas WWTF was conducted on August 18, 2021. The purpose of the
evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit
WQ0003044. Don and Karrie O'Mara were present during the inspection.
This facility is a 50,000 gpd Integrated Surge Anoxic Mix SBR system with a high -rate infiltration system consisting of three
surface LPP fields. The current facility was constructed and put into operation in July 2017 to replace the old plant. There
has been no effluent violations since the summer of 2017. A review of GW-59s, since last inspection in 2019, show some
TDS limit exceedances in MW-6. This permit expires in March 31, 2022. A renewal application will need to be submitted by
October 1, 2021.
The facility is compliant with Non -Discharge Permit WQ0003044. Please review the comment sections of the inspection
report for more details.

the clear effluent is decanted from the SBRs, it flows to a post EQ basin and then to the tertiary
filters.

are performed by staff, Certification #5660. Calibration records for pH were complete.

Comment: This facility was originally permitted prior to 2T rules. Setbacks of the high -rate fields do not

were well maintained.
