Dear Mr. anger,
This letter is in response to NOV-2021-MV-0069, referencing the monitoring violation
experienced at the Tallwood WRF in May, 2021.
This violation was a result of the failure to provide monitoring samples for both Total Nitrogen
and Total Phosphorus. This failure was caused by the inexperience (lack of training) of a new
operator and lack of supervision. These were monitoring samples only.
Upon discovery, the Tallwood WRF ORC immediately developed a new sampling procedure
requiring a second operator to confirm all samples have been pulled and labeled correctly. This
procedure will improve operator training and oversight which we believe will prevent any future
occurrences.
