Thank you both for the quick responses. For now, let's plan on meeting on April 24th. I am
coordinating with Rachelle, Deanna, and Jason to see if that date works for them but want to
get a date confirmed on your calendars. The three bridges are relatively close and I would
anticipate we could complete the review in 2 -3 hours. I will let you know if we need to look
at an alternate date.
It looks like Ramseur, NC is going to be the best meeting point for the field review.
There is a McDonalds right on US -64 in Ramseur located at:

Ronnie, we will get NCDOT signed preliminary JD forms to you in advance of the meeting.

Beth, going with the dates Ronnie has provided you, I would be available April 24 -26, May 1 &
8. May 10th is the interagency meeting, and May 16 and 17 are Merger Meeting dates which are
questionable, depending on what projects are on the agenda. I would also be available May
21 -245 if none of these dates work for you.

I have received the email with all attachments. I am available to meet with you on April 24,
25, 26, May 1, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17. If none of these dates work, I have dates
available after May 17. Based on Regulatory Guidance Letter 08 -02 for jurisdiction
determinations, the preliminary jurisdiction determination form should be signed by a
representative of the NCDOT (affected party). If someone with DOT will be attending the site
visits, I will have no problem with them signing the form on site.

Ronnie and Mason,
On behalf of our client, the N.C. Department of Transportation ( NCDOT), Kimley -Horn and
Associates, Inc. (KHA) requests a Preliminary Jurisdictional Determination for the three
following bridge replacement projects located in Randolph County.
* Bridge # 208 (TIP # B -4608) on SR 1003 (Erect Rd.) over Fork Creek
* Bridge # 307 (TIP # B -5546) on SR 2481 (Low Bridge Rd.) over Mount Pleasant Creek
* Bridge # 374 (TIP # B -5360) on SR 2481 (Low Bridge Rd.) over Sandy Creek
KHA would also like to request a field verification meeting to confirm stream determinations
(ephemeral /intermittent) and discuss mitigation ratios for the streams delineated on February
15, 2012. No wetlands occur within any of the bridge replacement project study areas. A
description of each project and its associated jurisdictional features is included in the
attached JD transmittal letter. A Preliminary JD package is also attached for each project
that includes:

* Preliminary Jurisdictional Determination Forms
* NCDWQ Stream Identification Forms
* USACE Stream Quality Assessment Worksheets
