Reference the DCM memo dated 6 -26 -2013 by Heather Styron regarding a modification
request to State Permit No. 131 -08 for the excavation of 85 square feet of Spartina
alterniflora (smooth coordgrass) (below MHW) along an existing rip rap structure near an
unnamed tributary to Taylors Creek, at 2400 Lennoxville Road, Beaufort, in Carteret County,
North Carolina.
We have coordinated this request with the NMFS. Based on our review of this information
and agency coordination, we have no objections to this proposal provided the applicant
obtains the required CAMA permit and the CWA Section 401 Water Quality Certification for this
work.
