On April 28, 2000, the Monsanto Company Fayetteville Plant forwarded to you
information regarding a change in name of the legal owner and operator of the
Plant from Monsanto Company to Pharmacia Corporation. At that time, we also
informed you of an upcoming change in ownership to a newly created Monsanto
Company. This letter is being sent to update you with additional information
regarding the date of the proposed change in ownership.
We had originally informed you that the proposed transfer of ownership was to
occur on or about July 1, 2000. Due to ongoing negotiations between the parties
and pending regulatory approvals, the date of the proposed transfer has been
postponed. It is now scheduled to occur on or about September 1, 2000. We will
submit additional information at that time to reflect this change in ownership.
Until the time of the transfer of ownership, the above -listed permit will continue to
be held by Pharmacia Corporation (the old Monsanto Company).
