Dear Susan-
Thank you for your assistance today. The scope of this project is limited to initially
replacing an existing 12x16 floating dock built in the 1970's with a new 20'x26'
floating dock and 20' gangway. Additionally, due to shoreline erosion in the area
where the dock is located, we wish to place between 30' to 50' of rip rap in the late
fall when the lake is at its lowest level.
Based on the visit by Kevin Hall and Lisa Leatherman in late May, it appears the
project will have minimal impact on water quality or shoreline buffer. Enclosed
along with the $240 fee, is the application and several photos of the area to be
stabilized and drawings of the floating dock location.
The dock is being pre -built by North Georgia Boat Lifts out of Seneca, SC and will be
towed to the site. The rip rap will also likely be placed by NGBL in the fall using a
backhoe that is capable of reaching the site using the existing dock access road
(showed on plan). Thank you again for your help.
