We do not think sediment from the NCDOT project is significant enough to be removed. There is significant sediment accumulation over several years before our project started. The project has lost silt into the steam that goes to Mr. Farlow's Pond several times. However, vegetation is now established in this area except for the roadbed and erosion control measures are installed according to plans. Some of the sediment reaching the pond may be from other property along the stream. (Estimated 1.5 to 2 miles from project to pond). We have not seen the report by Mr. Farlow's soil scientist. Jeff
