PROJECT SPECIFIC NOTES(pre-model review)
This project has a maximum decrease of 0.4-ft and will be submitted as a MOA type 2a.
REVIEW COMMENTS:
1. Please justify the difference of 0.09-ft.and 0.19-ft. in minimum channel elevation between the
Revised and Corrected Effective plans at RS 677 and 585, respectively.
The existing structure was a bridge and the proposed a culvert. When the culvert is installed,
the upstream and downstream channel will be slightly excavated to include the channel
improvements. For this reason,there was slight difference between the Revised and Corrected
model. A note has been added in the narrative under the Revised model stating "Please note
that due to the channel excavation, the stream bed at Section 585 and 677 will be slightly
lower". A revised narrative will be re-submitted.
Verified, no further action required.
MINOR COMMENTS
1. Please consider extending the upstream tie in from RS 777 to RS 913, it appears there is a
difference of water surface elevation between the Corrected effective and Revised plans of
0.02-ft. Tie-ins should match to a 0.00-ft difference. In addition,the encroachment stations
should match between the revised plan and the current effective model at the project extents.
Our review shows there is a 23 ft shift at RS 777.
We concur with changing the upstream tie to 913. The only place this was shown on our
submittal was the FEMA coordination form, which has been updated to show the published
section 009.
Verified, no further action required.

NOTES FOR NCFMP
1. Please note that the flow change at RS 4335 is listed as 1210 cfs in the Summary of Discharges
Table but is 1212 cfs in the LDFH table. The effective model uses 1212 cfs as does the submitted
model.
2. Please note that for the Corrected Effective and revised plans there is a negative surcharge at RS
3965. This is outside of the the project area;therefore, no action is required from DOT.
FINAL DETERMINATION:
