Page 10 of 10 Attachment A: W -5306, Castle Hayne Roundabout Section B, 3e. The proposed project will install a roundabout at the intersection of US 117, NC 133, and NC 132. Improvements will extend 1.32 miles along US 117/NC 132, 0.10 mile along NC 133, and will also include 0.36 mile of new ramps. The project will include the following: - Combination of northbound and southbound traffic on US 117/NC 132 onto the existing southbound leg; - Abandonment of the existing northbound leg of US 117/NC 132; - Construction of a cul -de -sac on existing northbound US 117/NC 132 to provide access to existing neighborhood; - Construction of access directly onto the roundabout for the existing neighborhood west of the study area; - Abandonment of the existing southbound leg of US 117/NC 132/ NC 133; - Construction of a right turn lane onto Prince George Drive; - Extension of existing right turn lane onto Holly Shelter Road; - Improvement of stormwater system along US 117/NC 133/NC 132 and on Hickory Street between US 117/NC 133 and Blossom Street. The project work will consist of grading, widening, drainage improvements, pavement widening, roadway construction, concrete monolith island construction, pavement markings, and pavement markers. This work will be conducted using standard road construction equipment.
