Dear Mr. Heinlein:
The Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources rescinds your coverage under NPDES Stormwater
Permit NCG020000. In accordance with the attached reclamation letter, Certificate of Coverage
NCG020799 is rescinded effective immediately.
Operating a treatment facility, discharging wastewater, or discharging specific types of stormwater to
waters of the State without valid coverage under an NPDES permit is against federal and state laws and
could result in fines. If something changes and your facility would again require stormwater or
wastewater discharge permit coverage,you should notify this office immediately. We would be happy to
assist you in assuring the proper permit coverage.
If the facility is in the process of being sold,you would be performing a public service if you inform the
new or prospective owners of their potential need for NPDES permit coverage.

Dear Mr. Heinlein:
An inspection was made of the above mine on July 14,2021,in accordance with G.S. §74-56 of the Mining
Act of 1971.
The mine was found to be satisfactorily reclaimed. Therefore, your company is released from further
reclamation responsibility for this site with respect to the Mining Act of 1971. I am returning your
company's Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. 55104983 issued by Regions Bank in the sum of
$30,600.00 to you for your disposal. This office is closing its bond cancellation/forfeiture action.
As to the matter of the $600.00 cash bond that we discussed on July 26, 2021, upon further investigation,
it was discovered that money was returned to the Company July 26, 2011.
