ALL GENERAL NOTES, ABBREVIATIONS, SYMBOLS, AND OTHER INFORMATION INDICATED ON COVER SHEET SHALL APPLY TO THIS PLAN 2. ALL ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE IN REFERENCE TO THE BENCHMARK AND MUST BE VERIFIED BY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WITH THE SURVEYOR OF RECORD PRIOR TO BEGINNING CONSTRUCTION. TEMPORARY BENCHMARK IS AN EXISTING IRON ROD (EIR) LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE PROPERTY ON ELLIOT FARM ROAD (SR 1606) HAVING AN ELEVATION OF 252.99'. 3. PURSUANT TO G.S.113A-57(2), THE ANGLE FOR GRADED SLOPES AND FILLS SHALL BE NO GREATER THAN THE ANGLE THAT CAN BE RETAINED BY VEGETATIVE COVER OR OTHER ADEQUATE EROSION CONTROL DEVICES OR STRUCTURES. IN ANY EVENT, SLOPES LEFT EXPOSED WILL, WITHIN 14 CALENDAR DAYS OF COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF GRADING, BE PLANTED OR OTHERWISE PROVIDED WITH TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT GROUND COVER, DEVICES OR STRUCTURES SUFFICIENT TO RESTRAIN EROSION. PURSUANT TO G.S. 113A-57(3), PROVISIONS FOR PERMANENT GROUND COVER SUFFICIENT TO RESTRAIN EROSION MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED FOR ALL DISTURBED AREAS WITHIN 14 WORKING DAYS OR 90 CALENDAR DAYS (WHICHEVER IS SHORTER) FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION OR DEVELOPMENT. ALL SEEDED AREAS WILL BE FERTILIZED, RE -SEEDED AS NECESSARY, AND MULCHED ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS IN THE VEGETATIVE PLAN TO MAINTAIN A VIGOROUS, DENSE VEGETATION COVER. IF ANY SEEDING FAILURE OCCURS, THOSE AREAS SHALL BE RE -SEEDED WITH RYE GRAIN FOR TEMPORARY STABILIZATION AND PREPARED FOR PERMANENT SEEDING. 4. SEE DETAIL SHEETS FOR EROSION CONTROL MEASURES & MAINTENANCE. 5. CONTACT: DOHN BROADWELL, TEL. 910-484-5193 6. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ONLY AFTER REMOVAL HAS BE APPROVED BY NCDENR. 7. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL MONITORING ACCORDING TO NPDES PERMIT REQUIREMENTS. 8. SEE DETAIL SHEET FOR TEMPORARY & PERMANENT SEEDING REQUIREMENTS. EROSION CONTROL CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE 1. THIS SITE WAS PREVIOUSLY CLEARED AND GRUBBED UNDER NCDENR PROJECT NUMBER CUMBE-2014-117, DATED 3-17-2014, AND LATER MODIFIED AND EXPANDED BY CUMBE 2020-020. 2. MAINTAIN ALL EXISTING EROSION CONTROL MEASURES INSTALLED UNDER NCDDEQ PROJECT NUMBER CUMBE-2014-117 AND CUMBE 2020-020. 3. SEVERAL TEMPORARY SKIMMER BASINS WILL BE CONVERTED OR REMOVED AFTER A STORMWATER DRYPOND HAS BEEN PARTIALLY CONSTRUCTED TO ACT AS A TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL DEVICE. DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE, THESE DRYPONDS SHALL BE ROUGH GRADED, STABILIZED AS PER THE TABLE BELOW, BAFFLES INSTALLED, WEIR WITH MATTING INSTALLED, AND FAIRCLOTH SKIMMER INSTALLED. ONCE AUTHORIZED BY NCDEQ AND THE ENGINEER, THESE PARTIALLY CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS SHALL BE COMPLETED BY REMOVING BAFFLES, SKIMMER, AND SEDIMENT AND THEN COMPLETING FINE GRADING OF SHALLOW WATER, SHALLOW LAND, DEEP POOLS, AND INSTALLING WETLAND PLANTS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF WETLAND PLANS AND DETAILS. 4. INSTALL ADDITION NEW EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SUCH AS INLET PROTECTION AND DIVERSION BERMS. 5. APPLY TEMPORARY SEEDING TO ALL DISTURBED AREAS PER NPDES REQUIREMENTS. (SEE TABLE THIS SHEET) 6. INSTALL INLET PROTECTION AS EACH STORM DRAIN INLET IS INSTALLED AND RIPRAP DISSIPATORS AS THE FLARED END SECTIONS ARE INSTALLED. 7. CONSTRUCTION REQUIRING THE REMOVAL OF AN EXISTING CONTROL DEVICE SHALL ONLY BE DONE WHEN THE UPSTREAM LAND AREA HAS BEEN STABILIZED. 8. CALL FOR INSPECTION BY ENGINEER AND NCDEQ. 9. TEMPORARY MEASURES SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE AND MAINTAINED UNTIL APPROVAL FOR REMOVAL OF ALL TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL MEASURES BY NCDEQ HAS BEEN OBTAINED. EXISTING PERMIT INFORMATION SITE IS ACTIVELY PERMITTED FOR EROSION CONTROL UNDER PERMIT NUMBER CUMBE-2014-117. PERMITTED DISTURBANCE OF 64.60 ACRES + CUMBE 2020-020 OF 4.06 ACRES = 67.66 TOTAL.
