Hatley AsBuilt Report Comments
Attachments:
D00052013.pdf
Hey Tommy,
I have received and reviewed the Hatley As -Built Report and have the following comments:
• Section 5.0, last paragraph: Please revise the last sentence as follows: "The exact amount of nutrient offset and
buffer mitigation will be included on the corresponding bank ledgers."
• American Beech was planted on the site. However, this specie was not in the planting list approved in the
BPDP.
DWQ Response:
DWQ approved the Hatley BPDP noting that EBX planned to plant a minimum of 6 different species from the
approved planting list. However, EBX decided to plant a minimum of 8 different species, an additional 2 more
species than what they originally decided to do. DWQ is satisfied with EBX's decision to create an even more diverse
plant community within the riparian areas. Therefore, DWQ does not feel that the discrepancy noted above
between the Asbuilt Report and the BPDP will have any adverse effect on the overall success of the site.
• In order to approve the amount of Riparian Buffer Credits and Nutrient Offset Credits, proposed in the As -built
Report for Phase I, DWQ will need a signed surveyed map with the acreages shown for each mitigation
component. The current plat, which is acceptable for the conservation easement itself, does not depict the
acreage of buffer and nutrient offset mitigation separately. Please see the attached map, along with its
Legend, signed by a surveyor for the Ezell site and use this as a reference.
Prior to the approval of this Asbuilt Report, I would like to visit the site to compare site conditions with those listed in
the AsBuilt Report. Please provide me with your availability in July. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you,
Katie
