The Division received your request to rescind the subject permit. We do not object to this request.
NPDES permit NC0036641 is hereby rescinded, effective immediately. This message is to close the
permit file for the Division, and for your records.
If in the future you wish to discharge wastewater to the State's surface waters, you must first
apply for and receive a new NPDES permit.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, simply reply to this message.
PLEASE NOTE: as part of the Division's conversion to paperless communication, this email is the
only notification you will be sent regarding the permit rescission. No hard copy will be mailed.

RE: Closing of Fletcher Academy Wastewater Treatment Permit No. NC0036641
Dear Mr. Boss:
This is to formally request that Fletcher Academy's Wastewater Treatment Permit (Permit No. NC0036641) be
closed out. All wastewater operations pursuant to this permit have ceased.
On March 5, 2021, Fletcher Academy connected to the Mud Creek Interceptor/Cane Creek Water & Sewer
System/MSD and ceased all effluent discharge into Byers Creek. The lagoon is completely closed, all wastewater
operations under this permit have ceased, and the lagoon with all related equipment and buildings have been
deconstructed.
For our records, we would appreciate a letter from NCDEQ documenting that our wastewater permit has been
forma lly/officially terminated.
Thank you for processing our request. We appreciate the assistance of NCDEQ and are glad to be completed
with the project of connecting to MSD.
