One tank of chemicals does not yet have secondary containment. Mr. Robertson reports he has plans to fix the problem soon. Mr. Robertson reports that the tank without containment has been moved to an area with containment. (see pics). The facility has a large pile of old broken up concrete stored in the open where rain water washes over it. The dumpsters are new, replaced since last inspection, but the lids were open. They do some truck maintenance (oil changes etc..) on the property. Qualitative Monitoring Has the facility conducted its Qualitative Monitoring semi-annually? Comment: Water leaves the property in several locations, but it all flows to the same storm drain which leads to the Little River, a trib of the Neuse River. The facility has built a small berm to keep water in the wash pit from leaving the property. They can also lower the water levels in the pit by pumping it into two 1600 gallon storage tanks. These two improvements appear effective in reducing high PH water from entering the storm drain.
