In order to meet water demand Droiections for the area, Craven Countv is DrODOSinc to construct a 3 -MGD water treatment plant
8 raw water production wells, approximately 30,000 LF of raw and finished water transmission lines, and 19,800 LF of
concentrate line that will discharse via a new diffuser into the Neuse River. McKim and Creed prepared an Environmental
Assessment for the project and a FONSI was issued.

The project area is located off of Highway 70, Flanners Beach Road, Stately Pines Road, and Lewis Farms Road in the eastern
portion of the County between New Bern and Havelock.
