UTILITY NOTES
1. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH ADMINISTRATION REGULATIONS (OSHA): CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE
ALL CONSTRUCTION AND EXCAVATION ACTIVITIES PROCEED ACCORDING TO THE LATEST OSHA
GUIDELINES.
2. UTILITY LOCATIONS:
A. NOT ALL EXISTING UTILITIES ARE SHOWN ON THE PLAN. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES. CALL INC ONE CALL (PHONE 811) 48 HOURS
PRIOR TO EXCAVATION.
B. COORDINATE WITH UTILITY OWNERS FOR LOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES AND WORK WITH
THEM TO REMOVE CONFLICTS.
C. VERIFY LOCATION AND ELEVATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES BEFORE CONSTRUCTION BEGINS AND
COORDINATE WITH THE ENGINEER FOR CHANGES TO THE SEWER LINE LOCATION AND, OR
UTILITIES. IF CHANGES ARE NEEDED, PLANS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY.
D. LOCATION AND ELEVATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS ARE APPROXIMATE.
3. ALL MATERIALS AND APPURTENANCES FURNISHED, WORK PERFORMED, AND TESTING REQUIREMENTS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROPOSED WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM EXTENSION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
MOST RECENT VERSION OF THE EASTOVER SANITARY DISTRICT DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
STANDARDS.
4. ALL DUCTILE IRON PIPE, IN SANITARY SEWER SERVICE, SHALL HAVE GRIFFIN PIPE "SEWPER" COAT OR
PROTECTO 401 LINING.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RELOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES IF REQUIRED DURING
